From March 2020 nothing was the same, on the 2nd the first case of Covid-19 was diagnosed in the country.
As the pandemic evolved, Portugal declared several States of Emergency, freedoms and guarantees were limited, borders were closed.
People were trapped at home, in isolation. Schools closed, businesses went bankrupt.
Only basic services were authorised to remain open during this period, anyone who could walk in the street was forced to wear a mask and no one kissed or hugged anymore.

According to the World Health Organisation to date, 5.631.629 cumulative cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and 27.702 deaths associated with Covid-19 have been officially recorded in Portugal.
